Amazon just introduced a bizarre metaverse-like game to train people how to use AWS

Amazon launched "AWS Cloud Quest" on Tuesday, an online role-playing game aimed at helping users learn about cloud computing. Users travel a virtual city, assisting its residents with cloud-related IT concerns while earning points through simulations and riddles.



On Tuesday, Amazon introduced an online role-playing game aimed at helping individuals learn cloud computing skills.


AWS Cloud Quest: Cloud Practitioner allows users to create their own avatar that travels through a virtual city, assisting its residents with cloud-related technology concerns. Completing Amazon Web Services simulations and puzzles earns users points, which may be used to unlock new character styles, pet companions, city themes, and virtual objects such as a hoverboard and a unicorn pool float.



In a YouTube video unveiling the game, AWS said, "As a cloud practitioner, you'll embark on a mission to help the inhabitants of town transform their city utilizing cloud technologies."


"The server running my weather app keeps failing!" exclaims a cartoon man in a hardhat to a user in one scenario featured in the film. "Could you kindly assist me?"


Cloud Quest, according to Amazon, was created to explain "fundamental AWS services and categories," such as computing, storage, database, and security services, as well as to facilitate the development of basic cloud solutions.


Amazon has released other cloud-training services in addition to the odd online game. AWS offers a variety of certifications to assist employees enhance their cloud knowledge and careers.
